  • Cryogenic electronic transport and quantum engineering of 2D transition metal dichalcogenides, this includes:
    • DC transport of correlated electrons and excitons in 2D TMD-graphene heterogenous devices.
    • Microwave engineering of 2D superconducting qubits.
  • Optical spectroscopy of 2D transition metal dichalcogenides, this includes:
    • Exciton spectroscopy of correlated electrons in MoSe2/WS2 moire superlattices.
  • Advanced nanofabrication of 2D heterogeneous devices @Marvell NanoLab, this includes:
    • Fabrication of dual gated 2D electron-doped TMD transport devices with Ohmic contacts.
    • Automated transfer of 2D heterostructures.

Past projects

2023.9-2024.7 @Lu Lab

During this time, I performed cryogenic electronic transport as well as optoelectronic measurements on twisted bilayer graphene systems. The subjects I studied are

  • Electronic transport properties of magic-angle twisted bilayer graphene with high-k dielectrics
  • Layer circular photogalvanic effect in large-angle twisted bilayer graphene

During this time I did a series of study on STM/STS spectroscopy of strongly correlated quantum liquids in transition metal dichalcogenides heterostructures, and electrical engineering work on 2D materials fabrication. They are

  • Tunable Luttinger liquid systems in TMD heterostructures
  • Semi-automated transfer stage in glove box
  • Coordinate-encoded on-chip QR code for STM measurement
